Splash Rides Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (“Splash Rides,” “we,” “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile applications, website, and related services (the “Platform”). This policy applies globally to all users of the Platform and complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, and applicable privacy laws worldwide.

When you make a booking, limited information is shared between Renters and Service Providers (e.g., first name, profile photo, booking details) to facilitate the trip.

We require all third-party service providers to maintain the confidentiality and security of your information.

4.3 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose information to: (a) comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process; (b) enforce our Terms of Service; (c) protect the rights, property, or safety of Splash Rides, our Users, or the public; (d) respond to lawful requests by public authorities, including law enforcement.

4.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in advance.

8. State-Specific Rights

8.1 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act, including: the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used; the right to delete personal information; the right to correct inaccurate information; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and the right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

8.2 Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and Other State Privacy Laws

If you reside in a state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you may have rights similar to those described above. We honor all applicable state privacy rights. Contact us at privacy@splash-inc.com to exercise your rights.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Platform is strictly for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18. If we learn that information from a minor has been collected, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@splash-inc.com immediately.

10. Location Data

We collect precise location data only when you grant explicit permission through your device settings. You may revoke location access at any time through your device settings. Location data is used to show nearby boats, enable real-time trip tracking, and improve the Platform. We do not sell location data to any third party.

11. Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. We currently do not respond to Do Not Track signals, as there is no industry-wide standard for compliance.

12. International Users and Data Transfers

The Platform is available globally. Splash Rides Ltd is based in the United Kingdom and processes data within the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK. Where data is transferred outside the EEA (for example, to cloud service providers), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with GDPR requirements, such as Standard Contractual Clauses. For UK users, transfers comply with UK GDPR requirements. For other jurisdictions, we comply with applicable local data protection laws.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. If we update this policy, you will be required to review and accept the updated version before continuing to use the Platform.
