Splash Inc. ("Splash," "we," "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile applications, website, and related services (the "Platform"). This policy applies to all Users in the United States.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

4.1 With Other Users

When you make a booking, limited information is shared between Renters and Service Providers (e.g., first name, profile photo, booking details) to facilitate the trip.

4.2 With Third-Party Service Providers

We require all third-party service providers to maintain the confidentiality and security of your information.

4.3 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose information to: (a) comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process; (b) enforce our Terms of Service; (c) protect the rights, property, or safety of Splash, our Users, or the public; (d) respond to lawful requests by public authorities, including law enforcement.

4.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

8. State-Specific Rights

8.1 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act, including: the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used; the right to delete personal information; the right to correct inaccurate information; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and the right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

8.2 Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and Other State Privacy Laws

If you reside in a state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you may have rights similar to those described above. We honor all applicable state privacy rights. Contact us at privacy@boatride.app to exercise your rights.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If we learn that information from a child has been collected, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@boatride.app.

10. Location Data

We collect precise location data only when you grant permission through your device settings. You may revoke location access at any time through your device settings. Location data is used to show nearby boats, enable real-time trip tracking, and improve the Platform. We do not sell location data.

11. Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals. We currently do not respond to Do Not Track signals, as there is no industry-wide standard for compliance.

12. International Users

The Platform is intended for use within the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws. Your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. If we update this policy, you will be required to review and accept the updated version. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
